Welcome to El Chocolatal Golf Eco-Resort. One of Latin Americas first, if not the first, environmentally sustainable golf courses. As opposed to many other, this course also serves as a CO2 basin, helping to mittigate global warming by attracting CO2.
In terms of the GOLF, this course is about the game in its traditional pure form. It is not an overgrown mini-golf course, as most of the pretty park-type courses. This is a course designed and build into its natural setting, thus taking advantage of the unique features of the land and forest. Not one cubik-inch of dirt or sand has been added or taken away from the course. And all design features are being molded by the hands of dedicated, experienced staff. El Chocolatal Golf Eco-Resort is located in Rurrenabaque, Bolivia, and is complying with the definition of Royal & Ancient, optimizing the playing quality of the golf course in harmony with the conservation of its natural environment under economically sound and socially responsible management. We will open the first 9 holes in mid-2010, with official inauguration later in the same year, and the full 18 holes and associated facilities in 2013.
The website is under construction, but if you wish to know more about the company and the initiative, do not hessitate to contact us.
